The flame demon tells the three remaining souls that he will set one of them free if they agree to give him half of their strength. He will then allow them to enter the second stage. The three remaining soul-eaters protest that they just killed the boss, but the flame demon explains that they were in a dream. He explains that soul-eating is a special form of death that is specifically designed to kill human beings. He tells them that they have to choose one of the three to be freed.
