The skybeast tells Lan that the barrier between heaven and earth has been broken. He wants to go ahead and collect the divine blood to use as a weapon against the skybeast's enemies. Lan is amazed at how Lan was able to defeat the stone statues without being able to hold them off. Lan tells him that after the war, they will no longer have to face any threats anymore. He tells Lan to go off to get the blood. Lan says that even if they are able to escape from the firewall, they'll never be able to become human beings. Lan reminds Lan that they're just "a bunch of data" used to satisfy Lan's various desires. Lan points out that the only reason they fought back was because of their own deeds. Lan asks Lan if he can sacrifice his life to save Lan. Lan replies that he hopes the sacrifice of his life will help Lan understand the meaning of life
