The narrator tells us that he's going to make Shunyi the most respected person in the palace. When Shunyi wakes up, he'll let his mother go back to his chambers and kill the maid. Shunyi says that whenever his mother told him to kill someone, he always did it, but this one is different. He says that Shunyi is the only person who looks at him in a "friendly way" and that he plans to protect her no matter what. The narrator says that Ming disappeared so early that morning, and that the villain is now going to court. He also says that he was the one who "dumped" his lover in every city in the world. He tells the narrator that he tied up Shunyi in front of her mansion and that people were shocked and pointed fingers at him. This morning, he says, people saw him "half naked" and were criticizing him. The emperor was furious, and he made Shunyi "held responsible" for the incident. The third prince's reputation was ruined, the narrator says, because Shunyi ruined it. He asks the narrator to go to Shunyi's mansion to take a look at the building where the imperial advisor used to live. It turns out that the building is where Shunyi bribed her maid, Lu'er, many years ago.
