This chapter opens with a conversation between Lin Qingqing and his mother. Lin tells his mother that he wants to confront xiangyang, but the girl he's trying to confront is drunk and cannot see him. Lin asks his mother why she hit her, and she tells him that she hit the girl with magic. Lin says that even if he hits her, she deserves it, and he says that he hit her because she's evil, but he likes it even if she hits him. He calls her mom and tells her to let her go. Lin calls the girl "my girlfriend" and says that the girl is his girlfriend, "lin quingqing" . Lin's mother says that she needs to be friendly with xiang's parents because they are important to him, but she is much older than they are. She tells her son that yue is a bit cold, but polite, and pretty, and that he likes her very much. Lin then tells his parents that jiang Xue bribed some members of the Student Council and joined the council right after he left. yue was invited to the party, but jiang told her that she was not welcome, and offered to be the man's date. Lin is furious at the idea of an orphan being invited to his birthday party. He tells the girl that she looks like a thief, and asks her why she is accusing him of stealing his dress. She replies that she bought the dress because she was invited, not because she stole it.
