In this chapter, Ren tells Gu that he needs to get away from the world. He blames Ren and Gu for recent murders, saying that they threw people into the "yin soul banner" so that they would be absorbed. Ren also blames Gu for killing celestial masters who had been left alone and feeding evil souls to their power. Ren says that it is okay to kill people to get on the "top" of the world, but he doesn't feel any guilt at all. He says that he didn't think they would disregard human lives in order to "get more powerful." He also says that they tortured other people and killed them. He tells Gu to disperse to his surprise, and he says that everyone heard what he had said. He then says that Ren killed other masters and that she is vicious of her. He calls them both "disgraces" to the world of celestial masters. He adds that he will still be a "favorable celestial master." He says he will not let Ren down. He will do his best to keep her power.
