In the middle of the lake, Ming and Po have come to a deal. Po will give Ming the soul seal and allow him to go. Ming says that digging the entrance to the Heavenly Emperor Rank's tomb is a dangerous job, but Po is generous enough to let Ming dig up some more spirit stones. Po and Ming plan to keep all of the spirit stones and magic stones they find at the mine. Ming is jealous that Po and Po's men have been able to collect so many spirit stones in such a short period of time. Po says that he only uses the split God's hand half-an-hour every day, and there are only a few spirit stones left in the lake. Ming warns him to be careful when they reach the lake because a dragon snake is coming out of the bottom. The snake is a million years old, and a king-rank human cannot beat it. There's no way for Ming to break through the rock, so he must avoid the snake.
