This chapter opens with the sound of a shot. It's the same sound that we've heard countless times before. This time, it's coming from the back of the forest, where the hero has been hiding. He's about to run away when he hears someone yelling, "Shoot! He found me!" . This is the guy who's been hiding out in the forest for the last few chapters, and he's got a message for the hero: "Go to hell! go to hell!" The hero is all, "Whoosh, whoosh, he found me?" . The hero realizes that the guy is trying to escape from him, but he doesn't know what it is. He also realizes that there's a strange plant nearby, which is a threat to the hero. He needs to kill both of them, pronto. The blood barbarians have stopped chasing after them, but they haven't yet arrived. Maybe some other troop has gotten in their way, too, and they've survived thanks to their backup troop? The hero's afraid that by the time the backup troop arrives, the mysterious soldier who saved them might already have been killed. He wants to get away from the forest first, so that the larger troop can deal with the barbarians. But
