The delivery from Yunnan arrives, and the master tells his student to go ahead and get it. He tells him to treat himself to some tea and then to drive the stones in for him. The master then tells him that he no longer needs the stones. He says that the ancients believed that people in his generation should not participate in "vulgar things." The jades in the stones are worth a lot of money, and he doesn't want to be a "heaven realm warrior" as long as he can protect himself. He then gives his student the salary for the last 30 years, and instructs him to take it once he's reached the second-level of the energy-gathering art. He also gives him a secret service license and a weapons usage license. The student swears that he has seen this before, and that the leader of the mountain sanatorium thought that his license was fake. He asks the master to simply mention his name and forget about it.
