Mr. Meng and his wife, Xinhua, are in the middle of a misunderstanding. Xinhua tries to explain the situation to her husband, but he refuses to listen to her. He tells Xinhua that he has no quarrel with his wife and that everything that had happened before was a "misunder-standing" . He asks Xinhua to come and look at his inventory of stones, and Xinhua agrees to do so. Mr. Guobin enters, and he tells the couple that they can have a dinner after they look at the stones. He also tells them that the prices of the stones have gone up, and that Xinhua's boss is "expressing her anger" on her husband's friends. The two men decide to pay for the stones with their credit cards, and they agree to have someone weigh the stones and then cut them for them. They also agree to send two stones later.
