In this chapter, we learn that the young man we met earlier in the day is a "sphygmomanometer" , or masseuse, who works in the "vip pool" . He's a member of a poor family, and he's here to make some extra cash for his family. The young man tells us that his parents have been laid off, and his younger brother is graduating from high school. This is why he came to Vegas to work as a masseuse. He says that he doesn't look like the other guests at the pool, because he is a poor kid from a working-class family. He thanks the man for making him feel better about his situation, and tells him that he'll be even better off than he is. The man is all, "Whoa, whoa, what's that?" , and then he starts yelling at the man to let him go of him. He tells the man that he has set his sights on a woman, and the man is trying to provoke him
