The monster and the dog have one more task to complete before they are allowed to leave. The mother of the dead dog is there, and she is horrified to find out that her son has been killed by the monster. She begs the monster to let her go, but the monster refuses, saying that it is an animal that has lost its humanity and is controlled by its "lust for blood." The mother and son are overjoyed to see that the monster is dead, and the two dogs are reunited once more.
