In this chapter, the vampire explains how he came to be a vampire. He explains that he had to contaminate the entire city and turn people into zombies. He ate so much that he thought that was his own blood. He tells the others to take their time to "digest it all" because the city is not safe outside and they do not have any self defense weapons. They should hide under the car first and then go back to get other things done. He says that they are chasing after him because they are "a bunch of extremists" . He thinks they are planning to launch "jihads" on some people to eliminate them. The only thing that is "reminding" him right now is that his companions are being killed. Instead of smoking, he wants to have a go at it. He hears that smoking can help him feel better and he wanted to try it out. He finds out that one of the other players was a "researcher" from an important organization. He asked him to go to the outskirts of the university town and retrieve a document. He said that disaster does not happen without warning. Before the apocalypse, the country had already "discovered some anomalies" and had experts "doing research." Those who remained outside did not know about the research, he says, so he hoped that there would at least be someone who knew about the secret. He adds that the professor used his "life to entrust" him with the document. It will be very risky to get the document, but he says that he and his companions have been "trying so hard" to pass these
