The ringmaster tells the women to follow him to their rooms outside of the temple. He tells them that he has five rooms, one for each of them: room one is for the men, room two for the women, room three for the sun, room four for the shasha, and room five for the chunhua. The sun is in room three, followed by the four shasha and the fifth for the zhao . The room with the sun is the safest, he says, because it is exposed to the ends of the rope. He crawls it and it hurts so badly. He has a painkiller syringe in his bag, but he doesn't know what else is there. He asks the sun to tell him what happened, and the sun tells him that he should tell her what he did to her. He then tells her that she should pick up what is in the book and pick it up. The auguest 11 tells the ringmaster that he is a "human trafficker" and that if he does not open up, they won't need him anymore. He says that he didn't want to kill the woman because she was her fault, and that he would have left the game if he had had the opportunity. He adds that he likes to torture people, and he wants to know what has happened to the man. The women ask him if he can check his joints. He replies that he can, and they ask if he thought that she was on their side, and she replies that she thought she was. The men's goal, she says, is to find the murderer of the woman who assaulted her when she was a human, and who turned her into "a demon" when she died.
