The chapter opens with a soliloquy by linfeng. He tells Gu that he wants to spend his life with Gu, and that he doesn't mind living in poverty if he can see her face every morning. He says that he will not allow Gu to live in poverty. Gu tells him that the secret of their relationship has been exposed on the internet. . , Gu tells , and the two of them decide to pack up the house and go back to the mainland. Gu says that they can't go back because some people have already downloaded the secret. Gu asks , "where are you ?" . Gu replies that they have already been exposed. They don't know how to deal with the scandal. They decide to go back, and , , they tell Gu to let xie take over as the president of the company. They also suggest that Gu let yiyun and yingshan continue to run the business. Gu is not worried, he says, because , he will take care of any problems that arise. He also says that if the worst happens to the worst, he's going to give up his family name and all of his belongings. He promises to do so if he has to. Gu tries to calm him down, saying that he already knows all about the "dirty things" . He wants to go home, but , instead, he tells Gu to get off of the car. He asks Gu what kind of a life he would like to live with his loved one. Gu answers that he'd like to be in the countryside, a simple life, or a "glamorous life" in the city.
