About This Chapter
The scene opens with Fuyingshan telling Mr. Fu that his wife and children have all returned from the orchard, and that it is too dangerous for him to leave his company during this time. He tells him that he will leave the company to him during the period of time, and he tells him to go out for a walk. He asks to be woken up, and when he is not, he asks if he is hungry. When he is, he says, he is heartbroken that he is being so discreet with him. He says that he has told him not to say "sorry" to him, but that he knows he is a jerk, chicken, and cowardly. When trouble comes, he always ditches you and runs away . he says that after he finishes, he will not feel regret, no matter what he will do about him . He has suffered from his stupidity, and wasted money on him , but he knows that he can live without him, and is not as young or pretty as he used to be. He admits that he does not know how to live without his beloved, and says that if he were to send him away, he would be a troublemaker. He adds that he was not married to the woman, and does not think that she would come back. He thinks that he thought he was married and that her wife had returned, and asks if they can drop this drama, and if he should have the courage to come clean, too.
