The narrator tells us that Mr. Fu has climbed the wall to get some "stop teasing me" . He says that he used to come to the house every time he missed him, but now that he misses him, he doesn't feel like coming anymore. He promises that he will never leave him again. . They're back at the house, and the narrator tells him that someone was "being a baby" and insisted on going out before the lunch was over. He's just mad at him for going fishing instead of him. The narrator says that if this makes him feel disturbed, he'll tell him everything he wants to know. He tells the narrator that he's never married or loved anyone, and that if he feels disturbed by this, he can ask him anything from now on. He also tells him about the woman who lives in his family's old house. She's trying to get the position of heir to the family. His father approves of this, and he even helps her. He asks the narrator to go get him some peaches, but the rain is so hard outside that it's hard to pick them up. He suggests that they cook for each other more often, and they both agree that this is a good idea.
