The narrator arrives at the hot spring resort early in the morning. He tells the narrator that one of his clients at the company has been scooped up by another competitor. The company's purchasing manager has gone to meet with another client, and the two men plan to spend the day together. The narrator tells the company that the cheapest suite at the resort is only 8888 yuan a night, and it's worth every yuan. He offers to lend the company the money if the company promises to treat the scars on his back and his back on his own. The two men argue about whether or not the other is trying to seduce him, and when the narrator tells him that he is, the man turns around and says that he's trying to work things out by himself.
