While eating "muffin munch" , the father tells his son that he is sorry for hurting him by following his sister to her room. He says that his sister is lucky that she has a brother like him. The father says that he has been depressed since his wife's death, and that he was unable to rely on her anymore. He tells the story of how his wife used to study recipes, and how one day, he decided to try his hand at cooking. He misses his son's games, graduation ceremonies, and even the last chance to marry his son. He asks his son where he is going, and the father says he will leave the next morning. He admits that he does not regret his decision, and he will try his best to bring his son back.
