In this short scene, the chief explains to his son that he has come to find him. He tells the boy that he cannot bear to live in his father's house, and so he has decided to return to his homeland in the Amazon jungle. The chief tells him that if he refuses to leave, he will no longer be a member of the tribe and will be his son's. He also tells the chief that he plans to marry him and bring him back to Amazon.
