The Governess wakes up the Governess and tells her that he wants her to learn more about the modern world. He has arranged for her to take all kinds of classes in the city, including language learning, math, music, history, chemistry, physics, and so on. He tells her to stop being so proud of herself and to learn the things she needs to know to survive in the modern city. He also says that he thinks it would be a good idea for Miss ulla to learn all about the city on a tour of her parents' old laboratory.
