The novel opens with a description of the Third World War, which resulted in the deaths of millions of people. After the war, humanity decided to rebuild the world, and sent a family to live with a family in the town of Yeosu. Yeosu's daughter, Juyeon, tells her that she has been assigned a lot of tasks, and that she is not able to concentrate on her own tasks because of the rules of the office. She tells her sister that the woman who lives at the town did not follow the proper procedures of recycling, and asks her to whisper to the woman that it is not her business, but that she thinks she is the boss of the company. She then asks her sister to whisper that she does not worry about the woman's position, and she repeats that she did not hear anything about her boyfriend. She also tells her sisters that she saw them together, and tells them to hurry up and prove that the report is wrong. She says that if they work together, they can always change the world for the better, and if they do not, she will admit defeat, but she will come back to the future no matter what
