In this chapter, the East Leopard tells us that he's in a dream. He's the East Man, and he wants to know what he can do for the rest of the world. He wants to beg for his life, but he can't do it. He can only see the dreams of other people, and they don't know what to do with him. The East Man says that he will castrate anyone who tries to bully women in his dreams. He also says that dreams are weird, because they allow us to know people's deepest secrets. He says that grandpa and lingwei have weird dreams, too, which means that we can enter their dreams and know what they're really thinking. He adds that he can only enter dreams from the people, so he'll have to wake up to see what's going on. He tells rourou to get on the cloud, because it's too small for him to see his dreams clearly. Also, he says, he can see dreams when he grows older, because he can still see them when he wakes up. He asks rou to remember the word "o" in his dream, so that he and rou can know whether the dream is real or just an illusion.
