In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of characters, including Mr. Guppy, Mr. Shuo, and Mr. Huo. We are also introduced to Mr. Chiu, who has just returned from a trip to the Galapagos Islands. He is very excited to see his new friend, and he is very happy to see that he is doing so well. He also tells us that he has fallen in love with Guppy and wishes that he could have married him. He asks Guppy if he can take Guppy to an amusement park, and Guppy promises to do so.
