In this chapter, the family tries to make light of the fact that they've invested in a guy who's just trying to make a name for himself. They want him to be involved in good works, so that he can develop his acting skills. They don't need him to act with someone else, since they're working on a good cause. They also want him not to get involved in a relationship with another person, since that'll only make him more unpopular. They hope that he won't do anything that's unnecessary, since it's not like he needs money or his life. The family is worried that their nephew will be shut out of the industry, and that he might be taken as a joke by someone else. They decide that he should get married to another man, and then they'll write his name in the family tree.
