The scene opens with the young actor, Rou Rou, telling his boss that he's a "great actor someday" . The boss is impressed by the young man's talent and calls him "the biggest fan" of his. He tells Rou Rou that he has to show more deference to the young woman than he did to his boss when she first came to the set. The young man tells the boss that the director, Pang Cai, has been accused of embezzling money and sexual harassment of some of the crew members. The director, he says, is "completely screwed" because no one will take notice of him. Rou Rou says that his two previous films have been canceled because of "various themes and policies" , which means that they've been "blocked from air" and "cut out" of all of their parts. He says that he still needs to work harder, but he doesn't want to be called lazy.
