In this short scene, we learn that Mishima is still in love with Hiroyuki, and that she has begun to worry about him. We learn that Hiroyuki's mother has been crying herself to sleep, and she is worried about her daughter's well-being. Mishima, however, is determined to protect her daughter. She tells Hiroyuki that she loves him, even though he has not reciprocated her love. She also tells him that she is jealous of Mishima's love for Hiroyuki.
