This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Hiroyuki's love interest, Shimotsuki, and his friend, Heikki, are reunited. Hiroyuki has come to find her weakness, and she is pleased to meet him. He tells her that he is looking for a weakness in her, and that she has brought it with her. She tells him that he can have the reflection of the demon on his cell phone, and he agrees to return it. He is annoyed that the heroine of the story does not get any love from him, but he does not understand why she would want to experience the reflection on her own. He asks her if she trusts him, to which she replies that she will not let him beat her no matter what. She asks him if he is trying to make her heart explode with love. He replies that he has been acting "like a baby," and he wonders if men are so attached to the word "serious"
