In this chapter, we learn that Hiroyuki's parents are in love with each other, but they don't tell her about it because they're afraid that she'll get into a fight with one of them. Hiroyuki tries to find out what's going on, but she's too scared to ask her parents about love. She's afraid that if she asks them about it, they'll tell her that they love each other and that she shouldn't worry about it. She tells him that she doesn't care about how much Hiroyuki likes him, because she'd rather be alone with him than with a girl who's trying to force her to have sex with a boy. She also tells him about how he's been padding his chest more and more to figure out how much she loves him. He's not afraid, he says, because women are strong against attacks of their own gender. He also tells her that he has found her slippers and books in a trash can, and he'd like to know if some girls have been picking fights with him. She says that's fine, but Hiroyuki is used to fighting with boys. He says that if he can find her weakness, he'll be happy to be hers. He asks if she was talking about running away with some girls, and she says that she was just talking about her back-to-school clothes. She then asks him if he could try to find his weakness if he wanted, but he says that he can't tolerate anyone using her love as a plaything.
