It's lunchtime at school, and Shmoop and Shimotsuki are getting ready to go to the music room to play the piano. Shimotsu asks to be let in on the action, but she's not having it. She wants to kiss him, but he won't let her in. He tells her that he's just trying to get her to have a "romantic moment" with himuro. He's annoyed that she didn't want to ask for his help, and he tells her to thank him for not asking for her help. He says that he would have hoped she'd thank him if he hadn't asked for it, and then he scolds her for trying to force him to kiss her on the lips. He asks her to let him kiss her "on the lips" , and she says that she doesn't think he'd want to do that, but then she pushes him away. He apologizes, saying that he was just getting impatient, and that she pushed him away because she wanted a kiss from him. He wants to know if she'll accept the kiss, or not, and what it's like to be "in love" .
