About This Chapter
It's time to go back to the house, and everyone is psyched to be back. They're all excited to see each other, and they all agree that they're going back to Pescara's house. Pescara asks if he can call Gramps and tell him that he's bringing a bunch of people back with him. He's a little worried that the water might have been poisoned, but Pescara assures him that it wasn't. He remembers when they were talking about the possibility of getting along with mutants, and Pescara says that he always took everyone's word for it, even if they didn't agree with it. He says that Pescara has been talking to a knocker who's hiding in the bushes, and that the knocker isn't there anymore. He asks Pescara if there's any way they can talk to the knockers so that everyone can get back to normal, and he says that's the only way he can think of. He tells Pescara that he has to go buy groceries, and then he asks if Pescara would mind carrying some of the people back home.
