The booze man comes in and tells the old man that he's the brother of Gugu. The old man says that it's a sad day that he abandoned him, but that he gained a lot when he overcame that. He thanks the booze man, the old lady, and the fushi for saving his life. He says that if he ever needs anything, he'll do his best to prove that he is his brother. He also says that he has made a mask for Gugu to wear. He's wearing it because he wants to be in a fighting position if the enemy shows up. He tells Gugu that he thinks of him as his own grandson. Gugu says that they're not related by blood, but they are his grandsons. He asks if he can read a map while they are gone, and he says that when he saw all of them grow up, he couldn't stand it that they were going to die before him. He wants them to move out and become what they want to become. He doesn't want them to die until he has seen that.
