About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he bought a ticket to go to a school in the north of Japan. He's been working at a restaurant for a while now, and he's got a job at the school as a part-time employee. He asks if he can borrow a smartphone from him if he wants one. The narrator says he'll do it if he needs it, but he wants to make sure that he can come back to the school whenever he needs to. He also says that he'd like to stay in the school for as long as he likes, so that he won't have to leave. He tells the girls that he misses them so much that they'll love him even more when he leaves. The girls are all excited to meet him, and the narrator is happy to see them. He introduces himself as "hanna," the vice president of the school's women's club, and introduces himself to his club mates as "Gugu." He tells them that he plans to work as a blacksmith someday, but that he is making things like ash trays instead of swords for now. He wants to buy one of his friends a bicycle so that they can all ride it together. Gugu says he doesn't know how to ride a bicycle yet, and that he has to get used to the whole thing.
