About This Chapter
When Hayase arrives, he is surprised to find that the noks have attacked the town. Tonari explains that half of the island is a crime-ridden place, while the other half is innocent. He tells Hayase that the only thing he can do now is to get off the island. He says that he's worried about the criminals, and that if anyone is worthy of living on the island, he'll make sure that they're not related to any of them. He also says that if any of the criminals are worthy of being alive, then god will surely save them. Hayase agrees with him, and tells Tonari that he can leave the island on his own. He then tells him that he made the right choice, because nokkers aren't a threat, but if he doesn't stand up to them, they'll become even greater ones. The noks are coming up through a corpse dump, he says, and he can't help but feel sorry for them. They're coming out of the dumps, he tells everyone, and they should run away. He's going to go to the dumps and smash the core of the nokker. He asks everyone to go with him. He wants to get to the dump as soon as possible, so he needs everyone's help.
