In this chapter, we learn that Gugu has been wondering why he wasn't born in the mansion. He tells us that he and his friends are working hard to save up the money they need to build a giant house and live in it together. He asks if the girl from the mansion is here, and he wonders if she sells seeds. He also learns that the old man who lives in the house is a "weirdo" and that selling illegal things is "practically illegal" . Gugu tells him that they'll have to work harder tomorrow to win back some of the money he lost the day before. He says that he'll hide the box in a tree so that it won't be stolen. He's worried that some of his friends might be involved in the theft of the box, but he says that they can't do anything about it since it's hidden in the tree. He then asks if he's the dog from the night before, and the girl says that she's been looking for him. They talk about fate, and Gugu says that if he sells the box of vegetables, he will never be able to sell them again in his life. He wonders if his "fate" would change if he got hit by a "bam" , and then he asks if someone will help him carry the dog back to the house. The girl's name is Regan, and she says that her name is "rean" and she has been stuck in the box for a long time. He feels bad for her, and says that his nose has been destroyed, but that he can still eat. He thinks about how he always dreamed of living as someone else, and that dream has turned into a
