About This Chapter
The next morning, Pocoa tells Fushi that Anna is dead, but that she has come back to life. He tells her to keep the news of her death a secret, since no one else knows about it, and that he will find out about it one day. He also says that he and Fushi will not tell anyone else about it because Fushi cannot make things he has not seen, and he will know about it when he does. He invites Fushi to come with him on a tour of the city. Pocoas response is that he doesn't think of Fushi as a woman, but rather as a friend. He says that Fushi is attracted to the doll, which reminds him of the two shadows in the morning and the two suns in the evening. He asks if she is a girl, and she says that she is, and then he asks why she didn't tell him that she was a woman. She says that if she had known, she would have fired him, but she says she will be fired only if her mother finds out. Fushi says that the doll was so beautiful to him that he was sure that March would love her if she were here now.
