The chapter opens with the narrator wondering what she can do to make up for the white day incident. She decides to go to a class reunion at the end of spring break. She tells us that she's going to behave like a girl and tell Kiyodo what she thinks about him. She also says that they haven't been spending enough time together as a couple and that they've had exams together. She hopes that she can go on a ride with her dad to the amusement park. She's not worried about the ride, though, because she thinks it'll be a great day. She says, "I'm going to forget about everything that day, and make it all a fun day" . As she rides off, the narrator asks her dad why he's taking her on the ride. He tells her that they went through a whole lot and that he'll give her some food and some scary stories. The narrator then asks if he can sit outside for a while. He's on his way back to the city to chat with Kiydo. He says he'd better be thankful since he was kind enough for him to talk to him. He asks KiyDo what's wrong with him, and he tells him that he can't talk about what he doesn't know. He adds that he was with his girlfriend and that she was trying to get him to face her but he just wanted to leave her alone. He ends the chapter by saying that for his whole life, he will cherish life.
