In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, who is introduced as "Koeda" . We learn that he is a friend of Minas's and that he has been in love with her ever since she was a child. We also learn that Minas is now in high school, and that she is relieved that she will never have to deal with her friend again. We are also introduced to another character, "Tsuguchan" , who we learn is the son of a woman whom Minas has loved for a long time. He is also a good cook, and we learn that his mother is a part-time employee, and he takes charge of the household when her mother is away. He also learns that he does not want to make fun of his father's feelings for Minas, because he knows how hard it must have been for her to express her feelings for him. He tells us that he likes that she cares about other people, but he is not sure how he feels about the fact that some girl "confessed" her love to him.
