About This Chapter
This short scene is for those who are in love with someone but are not sure what to make of it. The narrator tells us that he wants to know how the other guy is feeling about him. He asks the girl if she's cute, and she says she is. He tells her that he just wanted to stop by and see how he was doing. He says that he's going to take his gym clothes off so he can have a look at them. The girl says she doesn't think the guy is cute, but the narrator says that she is such an idiot that she only wanted to see him for a short while. He goes on to say that the guy's family is on business trip, so he'll be alone for a long time. He brings the girl some food and drinks, and the girl asks if she can have ice cream, too. She says she'll have to wait until it's cold before she can eat it. He's not feeling well, so she asks him if he'd like to drink some water. The man says he've had a fever all day, so the water must have splashed on him, and he says that's because someone is going up to him to get water. Then the narrator asks if the girl would like to eat ice cream before it starts to get cold. She'd rather have it cold than hot, which is what she'd had before. She asks if he would like ice cream that bad, too, but he says he wouldn't want to eat it if it was already cold. He also says that the girl's fever must have gotten worse because someone was
