It's March 26th, the day of the cherry blossom season, and Hiroyuki has just received a message from Kiyodo. He's excited to hear that he's passed the entrance exams for the university, and he'd like to go to school early so that he can get used to life there. He also wants to know if his dad will be there to see him graduate from high school. He wonders if he'll be able to say goodbye to him when the time comes, since his heart won't stop beating. He looks around the school and sees Mina who looks like she's checking out her ribs. She's wearing a hairpin, which Hiroyuki doesn't like, so he asks her to put it on so he can tell her how he feels about her. She does, and they take a picture together. Hiroyuki feels a little disappointed that he didn't ask for permission to go see his dad by the promised day.
