The next morning, Hirokazu begins to wear his new high-heeled shoes, which he picked up at the store the night before. As he is about to leave the zoo, he sees the boy whom he loves staring at him for the very first time in his life. He is so excited that he asks her to hold the boy gently, and she does so. She tells him that the zoo does not allow pets in her place, and that the boy lives in an adjoining enclosure. She asks him not to say such strange things, and he agrees to do so. As she is leaving, she notices that the chick she is holding is not a bird, but a penguin. She wants to touch her, but she is afraid that she will return the chick to her father, who lives in another enclosure. Hirokaz asks her what she would like to have for lunch since she is the girl of the boy she loves. She says that she would have pre-boiled lunch, but that she is going to get some band aids and drink to make the boy unnerve. She then asks her friend to give her a good hug, and they go to see the boy.
