In this chapter, the young master meets the old general, who is still alive. He tells the old man that he is continuing the legacy of the former general, and that he would still be alive if he were still around. The old general tells the young man that the gov'ernment is planning to abolish the name of each troop in order to unite management under the name "the revolutionary army" . The young master is worried that the two of them will be caught in a predicament, since the revolutionary army will soon arrive and knock on their door. He reminds the old men that they are all guests at the event, so they should not make trouble for each other. He also reminds the young men not to make any trouble for the other guests, since they will all beg for his help in the future.
