This chapter opens with a discussion between the provincial governor and the provincial squire. He adds that his sister is innocent and pure, and that his family is slandering him. He goes on and on about slandering his family and how he has only been investigating rumors about his sister. The ship has to wait for the commander chu to arrive before it can unload the iron looms.
