Mr. Duan's envoy has been dismissed from his position with the Hong Kong government. He is replaced by Mr. Lan, who has come to the factory in search of her family. He tells Lan that he will do anything for her, and only her, in order to destroy the Hong family. She says that she will put her own interests first, and that what happens in the past will always mark her relationship with Mr. duan.
