Back at the factory, the factory owner tells the boy that the factory is doing well and that two fabric stores are interested in hiring him as a local agent. The boy tells his father that if it weren't for him, he'd be on the streets. He says that he's relying on his father to help him succeed in his business. He also says that if he doesn't succeed on his next test, his father will beat him again. He wants to build his own big house.
