The narrator asks if the report letter would work. He says that it would take a long time to get there. The narrator says that if his father knew, he would scold him again. He tells the narrator that if he found a few well-known reporters, they would have to disclose the deal between the duan and the military envoy in the newspaper. They would be crushed. He warns the narrator to tread carefully. He asks what he is doing. He is carrying scriptures to show his apology. He goes on to say that he has spent the last few days asking about the situation and that there never was any bandits. He adds that he is sure that the narrator will feel his sincerity of apology. But the narrator is not so stingy. He even goes so far as to steal the scriptures from the Buddhist abbot of the temple. He scolds the narrator for being so stingy, saying that he would only make the narrator think that he was irresponsible. The two men are done. the narrator tells him that he kidnapped the master, then he pretended to save the master and demanded money from the family. The family gave him 5000 dollars. Then he taught him all the moral values and he did not ask for anymore. He returns all the money he got from deceiving the family and apologizes to them.
