The next morning, Mina arrives at the hospital. She's so glad to see him, because she's been waiting all day for him to come. She tells him that her mother is doing well, and that they'll be taking her to another hospital the next day for a more thorough examination. Mina also asks about her father, and he says that he's just been talking to his younger brother. Mina says that she wants to visit her father's grave one last time, and asks him if he'd like to come with her. He says that's okay, but he'll have to wait. Mina then tells him about her new boyfriend, who's named fumiaki. He's the son of Mina's brother, and Mina is in love with him. She gives him a letter from her mother, telling him that she doesn't want him to marry her. Mina tells him to take care of her, and she leaves.
