In this short scene, we are introduced to a young French man named Christophalbert, who works for a company with a girl named Moe. Moe's father, who is in the process of divorcing his first wife, is very upset to learn that his daughter's friend, a boy named Christian, has become her boyfriend. He asks his daughter-in-law to calm him down, but she refuses, saying that she is too attached to her family. She tells her father that when she was in elementary school, she was bullied and refused to attend school. Her family banded together and supported her, and she has overcome her past by hard work.
