In this short scene, we are introduced to Fred, who has just returned from a business trip. We learn that he is a "friend" of Chris's, and that he and Chris have just moved into the same building. We are also introduced to Mr. Norton, who is a co-worker of Chris. The two of them have been living together in the same room for a while now, and we are told that they are going to have a "fun time" together. We also learn that the two will be supporting each other with phone calls in the future, but that the other will have to use a manual to do so. This is not good enough for Fred, and he decides to cancel his contract with the company.
