In this chapter, we learn that the real owner of the pavilion is a young man named "Tang zhong" . We learn that he is a member of the Shanghai Stock Exchange and that he has been voted out of his job as vice president of the company. We also learn that his name is "zhong," which means "weight" in Chinese. He tells us that he bought the real estate because he doesn't have the time to care for it. He says that if he accepts the offer, he will find someone to manage the property for him. He also says that his attitude towards the young man is completely different from that of the other members of the stock exchange. He wants to know why he hasn't gone to the formalities with the company to discuss the matter with them. He asks her to invest 20 percent of the shares in his business venture. She agrees to do so, and he tells her that if the company's annual turnover exceeds 100 million, they will definitely come to the pavilion. He adds that he wants to make sure that the pavilion will be his property in the future.
