The next morning, the two students discuss their military training. They are now assigned to different classes, and the first student wishes that they were still in the same class. He asks the second student if he thinks they will be able to get along since the other student is running for office. The second student says he doesn't think they can because he is busy studying with the principal. The first student apologizes to the second for disbanding the class committee, but the second says he did not mean to do that. The two students decide to run for office together.
